November 26, 2020On the 12th of November 2020, three divers of the “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” and the “University of Plymouth” executed two lionfish removal expeditions in Limassol. During the first removal, that took place at the Constandis Wreck in the Marine Protected Area (MPA) of Dasoudi, the divers were able to fully clean the wreck by catching a total of 11 big-sized lionfish. The second follow-up removal, during which 10 lionfish were removed, was implemented at the artificial reefs of the Amathounta MPA.
