RELIONMED’s publication on lionfish removals promoted through the media

Amongst other aims of the RELIONMED-Life project, is to remove lionfish from Cyprus marine waters to control the lionfish populations in the region. On the 21st of July 2021, a new article was published in the “Aquatic Conservation: Marine and Freshwater Ecosystems” journal titled: “Regular monitoring and targeted removals can control lionfish in Mediterranean Marine Protected Areas”. The publication was further promoted, on the 22nd of July 2021, through the press release prepared by Mr. Alan Williams from the “University of Plymouth”, but also through news websites.
