RELIONMED at the “Alexandria” wreck and the world famous “Zenobia” wreck

On the 01/02/2018 “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” and the “University of Plymouth” conducted two coordinated lionfish removal surveys in Larnaca, at the world famous “Zenobia” wreck and Alexandria wreck. As in previous removal expeditions, the surveys were driven by reports from the SCUBA diving community, which expressed their concerns for a substantial increase of lionfish abundance in the wrecks. A total of 34 lionfish were captured - 24 from the “Zenobia” and 10 from the “Alexandria” wreck.
