CMMI members joined the RATs for a lionfish removal
July 9, 2021A press release has been published about the IUCN MedMIS platform, announcing how citizen-scientists helped the RELIONMED-Life project until now to monitor lionfish. MedMIS is used to monitor Marine Invasive Species (MIS) in the Mediterranean with the help of MedMIS users who submit sighting reports of the MIS. The platform is available through the website link http://www.iucn-medmis.org/?c=About/popup and as a smartphone application, both free for everyone to use. RELIONMED has introduced a separate section within MedMIS, the “Lionfish Portal” - http://www.iucn-medmis.org/?c=LionFish/show, that solely refers to the lionfish. Send your lionfish sighting reports to continue to help monitor the species.
