NEOBIOTA Conference 2020

The “University of Cyprus” participated at the “NEOBIOTA 2020 – 11th International Conference on Biological Invasions” that was held from the 15th till the 18th of September 2020 in Vodice, Croatia and/or online. Dr. Niki Chartosia’s online presentation, on the 17th of September 2020, was titled “RELIONMED LIFE project and IUCN-MedMIS: Citizen scientists help to monitor the lionfish distribution and abundance”. Emphasis was given on the “RELIONMED” project, the “MedMIS” platform and the involvement of citizen scientists in reporting lionfish sightings. In addition, Dr. Chartosia mentioned the C3 action of the project promoting the uses of lionfish, i.e. jewellery making.
