June 22, 2021Press release on the MedMIS’ intermediate results
June 29, 2021Removing lionfish from the Mediterranean Sea helps control the abundance and distribution of the species in the area. This way, the negative impacts that lionfish can have on the areas that they invade are decreased. The RELIONMED-Life project is now collaborating with the
Fat Fish restaurant in Limassol, which introduced lionfish dishes in its menu and promotes the consumption of this fish to help the marine environment of the region. Fish are given to the restaurant after removals are implemented by the project’s partners and by the “Removal Action Teams (RATs)”. We thank all the volunteer divers for their support, as well as the Fat Fish restaurant for collaborating with the project to achieve these goals. Visit the restaurant and enjoy a delicious lionfish dish! We need your support! Everyone can help!
