The “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” coorganised a lionfish culinary event in collaboration with the “Larnaka Tourism Board”, the “Department of Fisheries and Marine Research” and the “Cyprus Chef’s Association”. The event was held on the 29th of July 2020 at the “Golden Beach Hotel” in Larnaca. Lionfish consumption was promoted and safe handling and cleaning of the lionfish was presented to the attendees. The important guests and journalists had the chance to taste a variety of lionfish finger food and special dishes prepared by top Chefs of Cyprus. Closing the event, female guests received lionfish jewelleries produced by RELIONMED as a small gift.
