March 1, 2018On the 14/02/2018, “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” and the “University of Plymouth” implemented two lionfish removals in Famagusta district. The first survey was carried out at the Marine Protected Area of Cape Greco at a depth of 23 m, whereby, five lionfish were caught. The second survey took place at Nisia Natura 2000 site, and only a single lionfish was found and caught at a shallow rocky location.
