April 3, 2018As part of the dissemination and the execution of the “RELIONMED” project, the team participated in the “Joint GFCM-UN Environment/MAP Sub-Regional Pilot Study for the Eastern Mediterranean on Non-indigenous Species in relation to fisheries”. The effects of non-indigenous species, including lionfish, are a significant problem in the Mediterranean so projects like “RELIONMED” are essential in limiting the negative effects of these invasions. The workshop took place in Chania, Crete, and “ENALIA PHYSIS Environmental Research Centre” shared information on the experiences and feedback from the project.
