“European Researchers’ Night” 2019, in Nicosia

On the 26th and 27th of September 2019, representatives from RELIONMED participated at the “European Researchers’ Night” held at the “Filoxenia Conference Centre”, in Nicosia. Students of both lower and upper classes, from different schools of Cyprus, visited the kiosk (“Alien Vs Native Marine Species”) where the project was presented. On the evening of the 27th of September 2019, the event was open to the public. A great number of people had been informed about lionfish and our project. Videos were presented on screens, a game to distinguish native from alien species was prepared by the “Marine and Environmental Research Lab” who had, also, supplied the kiosk with a small tank that had 2 alive lionfish in it for everyone to see (on both days of the event).
