The 2nd ecological monitoring survey for 2019 by “MER Lab”
6 Αυγούστου, 2019On the 18th to 19th of June 2019, divers and researchers of “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” initiated the second annual cycle of ecological monitoring surveys at the Marine Protected Area and Natura 2000 site of Cape Greco. This is a repeat of the last year’s sampling surveys, which consisted four sites at 20 m depth and two sites at 7 m depth. All the sites will be surveyed every two weeks over the course of two months.
In these particular surveys, 55 lionfish were removed from the sites tested for removal pressure.
