“ENALIA PHYSIS” and “Nautilus” Dive Club Vs Lionfish at Xylofagou
16 Φεβρουαρίου, 2020After having received an invitation by the Board of the “Nautilus” dive club in Limassol, “RELIONMED’s” representatives conducted a training (on 11/02/2020) for 23 divers who wish to be involved in the “Removal Action Teams (RATs)”. Representatives from "MER Lab" (Mr. Demetris Kletou and Mr. Charalampos Antoniou) and a representative from the "University of Plymouth" (Mr. Periklis Kleitou), gave presentations about the issue of alien species, the lionfish, handling and safety issues, the “RATs”, implications for management and the importance of market promotion.
The project’s representatives are very happy for receiving invitations by organisations to give presentations, train their divers, for their motivation and good spirit for collaboration and environmental protection. “RELIONMED” would like to thank the “Nautilus” dive club – we appreciate their support throughout the project very much.
