A RATs survey was organized by the “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab” on the 27th of February 2021. The RAT was composed of three distinct groups that were able to remove lionfish from three separate locations in the Dasoudi MPA in Limassol. The first group (two divers) was able to remove 10 lionfish from the Lady Thetis wreck. The second group was able to remove 35 lionfish from the Constandis wreck and the third group caught 11 lionfish from the shallow structures of the MPA. In all three locations, the size range of lionfish was between 20-35 cm. We thank the RATs for their support and for helping remove lionfish from Cyprus marine waters.
