Lionfish Survey at Akrotiri Marine Park

The “Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab”, the “Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (DFMR)” and the “Sovereign Base Area (SBA)” executed a lionfish scouting survey at the “Akrotiri Marine Park”. The action took place after having communicated with the “SBA Custom” offices of the “Royal Air Force Akrotiri”. Only two lionfish were removed and it was judged that the protected area is still not infested by lionfish.
